The Daous have championed Cabernet Sauvignon in Paso Robles for many years believing that California’s Central Coast is capable of making wines that can stand tall with the best Bordeaux reds in the world. They employ rare French barrels, the staves for which are aged five years. Patrimony is fulfilling the Paso Robles' Adelaida District’s destiny as the benchmark for world-class Bordeaux varieties.

The 2020 Patrimony is an extraordinarily long, layered and pure Cabernet Sauvignon. Made entirely from free-run juice and aged 30 months in new French oak. It's deep, full-bodied, plush, immensely elegant, and incredibly textured, yet still fresh, and beautifully balanced with ultra fine tannins and a long finish. The supple palate bursts with flavors of  blackberries, black currant, blueberries, dulce de leche, violets, cassis, leather, toasted spices, cedar, and sweet tobacco while having a very mineral note. Definitely needs a few years to reach its peak. This is a red meat or roasted game wine.
