Description:
Albarino is said by some to be the most food-friendly wine grape in the world. I suppose it depends on what your eatin' but we can sure understand where that sentiment comes from. So subtly floral, so vibrant, so pure and lifted, so... good. The problem is that this purported relative of Riesling, which is grown in northwestern most corner of Spain, is shy-yielding and difficult to cultivate - so the price is a tad steep. Enter Burgans. They've fashioned a spot-on example of this increasingly popular varietal, at a popular price. This current vintage is even better than previous versions with white peach, lime and honeysuckle flavors held in perfect balance by brilliant, cleansing acidity. Seafood is a natural match, but hey, versatility is Albarino's thing!
