Description:
Domaine du Pegau is one of the preeminent producers of Chateauneuf du Pape and their top cuvees are critically acclaimed and fetch triple digit prices. Their second property, Chateau Pegau, produces more down to earth wines but with the same vineyard and winemaking expertise employed. This Cotes du Rhone blanc, named after a tributary to the Rhone River, is an expressive blend of Clairette, Bourboulenc, Grenache Blanc and Ugni Blanc. Its stone fruit notes aren't cloying, nor are the honeysuckle and acacia flower notes overwhelming. This a balanced and flavorful wine to be enjoyed with autumn fare that deserves a richer textured white without any oak influence.
